Your rural holiday home on the Costa Blanca is literally surrounded by nature and can accommodate up to 8 people. This holiday destination has a lovely emerald green tiled private pool. The lush Jalon valley is a stone’s throw away, as is the Sierra de Bernia mountain range. It lies as a majestic massif between sea and mountains, provides a truly unique view.

Holiday Finca Casa Grillo has four bedrooms, three of which are upstairs and one on the ground floor. The house has three bathrooms and a spacious living room with patio doors to the terrace. Behind the living room, ‘en suite’ doors give access to the TV room with a lounging corner and a small library.
At the rear of the house is a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. The kitchen door gives access to a small typical Spanish patio. Your restored stone holiday home is located 20 minutes by car from the Costa Blanca and the village of Benissa.
If you rent this holiday home, you may meet your temporary landowners. This is because around the house there are three hectares of agricultural land in terraces that are so typical of the Valencian countryside.
The house has central heating for the few colder months of the Costa Blanca. In the summer the house stays nice and cool because of the 80 cm thick natural stone walls and the good insulation. This makes Casa Grillo a holiday home that is suitable for all year round!

The driveway winds over the land with ancient agricultural terraces up to 2,800 years old to your left and right. When you open the window, you will be enchanted by the typical aromatic smells of thyme, rosemary, fig and carob trees. Slowly, you get a view of the modest house at the end of the driveway. Your eyes are immediately struck by the meandering terraces behind the house. If you turn around, there is the nature reserve around the Sierra de Bernia in front of you. It is interesting and also important to know that Casa Grillo is an off-grid holiday home. The power is supplied entirely by a modern solar power system. The spacious swimming pool is also 100% solar powered.

Marnes is the neighbourhood where Casa Grillo is located, and this neighbourhood belongs to the village of Lliber. This is a small and unspoilt village in the Jalon valley or in the Valencian language ‘El valle de Xaló’. This area is known for its grapes and almond cultivation. Almond blooms turn this area white and pink in January and February with exuberant blossom. The charming villages in this valley are the aforementioned villages of Jalon, and Lliber and then Alcalali, Parcent and Benichembla, Murla, Senija and Castells de Castells. Together, these villages of Vall de Pop form an agricultural community, or in Spanish a ‘Mancommunidad’. The nearby town of Jalon with banks and supermarkets also hosts the tourist information centre for the area.

Guests of Casa Grillo can reach the main coastal road within 20 minutes which it isn’t too busy in summer. From here, you can and enjoy all that the Costa Blanca has to offer. The cities of Valencia and Alicante are respectively an hour and a quarter and an hour away. Both cities are definitely worth a visit. Towns like Denia, Javea, Moraira can be reached within 40 minutes. In the other direction is the picturesque fishing town of Altea, with its famous blue domed church. After you’ve enjoyed the bustle of the coast, you can return to the privacy and tranquillity of your own holiday Finca in Spain!

The year-round mild climate makes the surroundings of this holiday home on the Costa Blanca ideal for active holidays. It is not without reason that cycling teams like to come here for their training camps. When it is chilly, rainy or even snowy in your home country, it often seems like spring here!
